Prime Electives Correction & Saturday Students Undeclared Status

Dear Class of 2017 Students,

In consultation with your EWMBAA  Academic Committee and announced on last Thursday’s Fall 2016 Electives Webinar, we wanted to make sure you are aware of a one-time program for Saturday students this Fall.  In order to provide more options to students due to the shortage of Saturday electives, all Saturday students will have access to both Evening and Weekend classes during Round 1 bidding (i.e. going Undeclared) without having bid points deducted. As a point of clarification, bidding declarations were originally implemented to protect students who could only take courses on the weekends and historically a much larger number of students declare as Evening students vs. Weekend students (as is the case for this Fall). Declared Weekend students do not need to do anything, as we will make this declaration automatic for all Saturday students. This will be run as a one-time program for declared Weekend students and is not currently planned to continue after this Fall.  All students will automatically revert back to weekend status after bidding.

We also wanted to alert you to a correction in the Prime Electives table that went out yesterday: Game Theory will be offered as an Online class in the Spring and as a dual-listed class with EMBA in the Summer. It is not scheduled to be offered this Fall (as mistakenly marked). We sincerely apologize for our mistake. Below is the revised Prime Electives table.

Lastly, please consider scheduling an appointment with your advisor to discuss your elective choices for Fall and/or planning for Spring. Students have found these one-on-one meetings extremely helpful.

Remember that Round 1 of Bidding starts Monday, April 18.
